This Privacy Policy explains how AMR Hanuman PG ("we", "us") collects and uses information through the AMR Hanuman PG admin, staff, and tenant apps (together, the "App"). By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
- Identity & KYC documents: government-issued ID images or PDFs you upload for tenancy verification.
- Contact details: name, phone number, email, and (where provided) an emergency contact number.
- Tenancy details: room and bed assignment, sharing type, rent amount, join and vacate dates.
- Payment records: screenshots of UPI transfers you upload as proof of payment, plus the amount, date, and status the admin records against your invoice. The App does not process card, UPI, or netbanking payments — no payment gateway is integrated. All payments happen outside the App and are only recorded here after the fact.
- Complaints and notices: the text, category, photos, and status of complaints you raise, and notices sent to residents.
- Staff task data (staff app only): task assignments, completion timestamps, and any notes staff add.
- Basic technical data: device type and browser, and error reports if the App crashes.
2. Why we collect it
- To manage your tenancy — bed assignment, rent, joining and vacating.
- To verify identity as required for PG accommodation.
- To record and reconcile rent payments made outside the App.
- To handle complaints and communicate operational updates.
- To coordinate cleaning, maintenance, and other staff activities.
3. Who can access your data
Access is scoped by role using the App's permission system:
- Tenants can see their own profile, KYC, invoices, payments, and complaints — plus PG-wide information such as notices, house rules, and WiFi.
- Staff can see tasks assigned to them and the resident information needed to complete those tasks.
- Admins (PG owner and authorised managers) can see all resident, payment, complaint, and staff data for their PG in order to run operations.
We do not share your personal data with any third-party advertiser, marketer, SMS vendor, WhatsApp Business API vendor, or analytics vendor. If we ever add such an integration in future, this Policy will be updated before it goes live.
4. Storage & security
Your data is stored in our managed cloud backend, which encrypts data at rest and in transit. KYC documents are stored in a private storage bucket that requires authentication to read. Passwords are never stored by us in plain text — the identity provider handles authentication.
No online service is perfectly secure. Please keep your login credentials confidential and sign out on shared devices.
5. Local storage on your device
The App stores an authentication token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in between visits. Signing out from the App removes this token. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Data retention
7. Your rights
You can request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your data (subject to any records we are legally required to retain). To make a request, email the grievance officer below. We will acknowledge your request within a reasonable time and aim to respond within 30 days.
8. Children
The App is intended for adult tenants and staff. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page and, for significant changes, notify residents through the App.
10. Grievance officer
For any privacy question, correction, or deletion request:
- Name: AMR Hanuman PG
- Email: amr@gmail.com
